GEN TV FORMAL QUALIFICATION

CUF50107 Diploma of Screen and Media

COURSE PREREQUISITES

Candidates may enter the qualification with limited or no vocational experience and without a relevant lower-level qualification.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Satisfactory completion of Year 10 or its equivalent.
Mature age entry (21 years of age or over) with relevant work experience and/ or previous acceptable qualifications that are reviewed at course interview.

  • Basic entry-level computer skills (ability to word process, write and read emails and use the internet) to be demonstrated at course interview.
    Applicants must demonstrate an interest in and suitability for work in the screen and media field by preparing a pre-selection kit for the QPIX admissions officer. (A pre-selection kit listing required documentation and evidence for a course interview is available at QPIX upon request.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY LEVEL

English Level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

ARTICULATION INTO UNIVERSITY

QPIX has a formal Credit Transfer Agreement with Queensland University of Queensland (QUT). QPIX students who have completed the (CUF50107) Diploma of Screen and Media and is admitted to the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, TV and New Media Production) is guaranteed 2 semesters (1 year) of credit.
This is the equivalent to 96 points of the 288 total credit points required for the completion of the Degree.

• Some out-of-hours time required during productions.
