Can I still work if I get into the GEN TV course?

Part-time and flexible work is ideal for this course. The contact hours of the course have been structured to accommodate this.

How long is the course?

One year full-time.

What are the contact hours?

2 weekdays and 1 weekend day per week, plus productions.

What is the qualification?

Upon graduation, you will be awarded a nationally recognised diploma in Screen and Media (CUF50107) with a specialisation in Television Production.

Can I apply for Recognition of Prior Learning?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. Please contact us directly for more information.

What employment opportunities will I have?

Graduates of GEN TV will have the foundation skills to begin work in the industry. For more on career options head to our Career Options page online at www.gentv.com.au/careers . GEN TV graduates also have the opportunity to go on to further tertiary studies in screen and media through articulation into university.

Are there entry requirements?

There are no prerequisites to apply for GEN TV. However students are selected on merit and places are limited. Examples of work will be required for the application.
