QPIX is a non-profit screen industry development company, dedicated to the development of independent screen production and independent screen production professionals in the State, and to brokering and facilitating production-based partnerships between the independent sector and the State, National and International screen industries. QPIX’s goal is to help build an innovative and globally competitive Australian screen industry.
The advantage of training with QPIX is that with the company’s ongoing development and production of a range of low-budget content for the industry, and our focus on producing as a means of training, students in our courses are always intensively engaged with the hands-on excitement of production, and are always guided and trained by working industry professionals.
QPIX is also a founding member of the national industry network Screen Development Australia (SDA), and the creator of a new informal network of independent filmmakers across the Asia-Pacific region.
QPIX always employs working screen industry professionals in its training. In keeping with this approach our GEN TV training staff have career backgrounds with Channel Seven, ABC, HBO, BBC and a range of other production companies and networks.
QPIX is a nationally Registered Training Organisation (RTO), and has the scope to offer courses in screen and media and some additional related subject areas from the Certificate IV through to and including the Advanced Diploma.
Graduates of QPIX’s advanced industrial training courses can gain articulation into Queensland universities that run screen & media courses, based on the quality of their portfolios.
QPIX courses are Austudy and Abstudy approved, and payment plans can be negotiated. Conditions apply.
